In October 2021 we had our biennial Art and Craft Exhibition which was a resounding success. We had a wonderful collection of art and craft presented and the judges had an incredibly difficult job to allocate the awards, as the quality of entries was exceptional. Everyone who entered should be very proud of their efforts. A big thank you to Linda and her committee (Steve, Aaron, Bec, Bonnie and Fiona) who pulled together the event, which resulted in a wonderful day. A very big thank you to Ray (our Chairperson); Des Orr (local celebrity); Councillor Tim McMahon (Environment and Community Portfolio) and Steve Turley (Artist in Residence) for taking on the daunting role of judges.
Leading up to the exhibition we had many art and craft workshops which were facilitated by our wonderful Support Workers Steve, Aaron and Bonnie and our talented client, Adrian. These workshops were very well attended and included water colour, photography, tie dye, water bottle decorating, fabric painting, sketching, clay modelling and hydro dip mugs.
Due to the overwhelming response to these workshops, the Warrina Services Board has decided to continue these workshops into 2022. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation these groups have been postponed until later in 2022. Please keep an eye out for flyers in the future.
